My Wish For You...

Is Thanksgiving Eve a thing?

Here we are a day before the chaos begins....

Megan and I are hosting our first Thanksgiving in our new home, and we couldn't be happier.

My wish for you...

Be a sponge.

Soak it all in.

Sure, you'll have to squeeze some stuff out, but take it all in.

I never was a big holiday person until I married into Megan's family.

Ever since my mom passed away six years ago, holidays just haven't been the same.

I'm sure some of you can relate to that.

However, now, I look forward to the hours and days we get to spend with family because in today's day and age of the "go, go, go" mentality, it doesn't come often.

My wish for you is the ultimate pursuit of life...

Happiness.

Enjoy yourself.

Eat whatever the heck you want to eat.

I promise one day is not going to reverse years of work.

More importantly, take a few mental pictures of these next couple days.

Put your phones down (admittedly, my hardest challenge) and embrace the memories.

It sounds obvious, but before you know it, it will all be over.

I now look forward to holidays more than ever, and I'm sure once kids are in the picture that will be even more so.

I know a lot of you are grateful for that.

For me, I'm grateful for so much including...

My amazing wife who puts up with my crazy ideas and OCD personality every day...

My family, who has grown 10x since meeting Megan, and the love and support they provide is infectious.

The clients of Spurling, without them, none of what I do would be possible.

My amazing team, who shares our vision of changing lives and makes me proud every day...

And for you...

I really enjoy waking up each morning and writing this e-mail.

It literally jumpstarts my day.

I know your time is valuable, and I'm honored that you take that time to read this.

Thank you.

So...

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you embrace it and enjoy it.

Dedicated to Your Success,

Doug Spurling

PS: If you don't have somewhere to go for Thanksgiving, and you're willing to surround yourself with Megan's crazy family, you're welcome into our home. We have plenty of good food to go around :)
