Do You Have A Fitness Mechanic?

Happy St. Patrick's Day to y'all.

I wanted to wrap up the week with a couple points that I see with clients who are intimidated by the gym, my theme for the week.

When we meet with someone on day one, they typically look around the gym and wonder what the heck all this equipment is.

I'm sure you did the same thing on your first day.

You see, the industry has trained the consumer to judge a gym based upon what they have for equipment.

Becuase again, go back to my earlier post this week, 83% of people don't belong to a gym.

Why? Becuase they're scared and think of the gym as a place where they basically rent equipment to use.

We believe the equipment is just our tools to get you the results you're looking for.

Again, because all of our clients work with a coach at every single workout, the equipment we have here are just our tools we use to get you smaller pant sizes, a stronger core, or more stamina to keep up with your kids.

I often share this analogy with clients on day one, and maybe for you, it's a good reminder.

Typically, people are intimidated by the gym when they walk in and see all this equipment, but just ask yourself this...

When your car needs maintenance and you take it to the mechanic you don't really care what wrench they're using or what brand screwdriver they have, you just want your car fixed.

Right?

You just care about the result.

We believe fitness should be the same way.

The equipment we have here are just the tools we need to get you the results you're looking for, just like a mechanic has their tools, we have our tools.

So...

Next time you're looking for a gym, don't go right to what equipment they have, but what is the coaching and accountability behind that equipment?

As you get comfortable in the gym, it is empowering to know how to use the equipment and we quite often do tutorials like this one to help educate our clients, but that typically isn't a priority in the first 90 days.

Hope that helps you guys.

Have a great weekend, don't celebrate the holiday too hard :)

I'll be back on Monday to kick another great week off.

1% Better.

Dedicated to Your Success,

Doug Spurling
