Show Up

For the last couple weeks, I've been doing a challenge amongst some fellow gym owners.

It's called the Producer Challenge, and similar to our Six Week Transformation Challenge that starts today, it's all about who gets results during a certain period of time.

We have to check in daily, and complete certain tasks daily, with a coach holding us accountable.

Sounds like our challenge, right?

It's pretty much structured the same way.

However, instead of dropping pant sizes or gaining strength, we're trying to improve our business experience.

So, what does this have to do with you?

The people who are getting the best results are not the ones with the fanciest tactics, the latest and greatest that, or the shiniest this.

There the ones who show up day in and day out.

They put their head down, focus on the goal at hand, and get 1% better every day.

Our friend Woody always use to say showing up is 80% of life.

Well, my friends, the same applies to fitness.

If you're frustrated with where you're at, looking to get better results, stay more accountable, or whatever the goal is at hand I have one question for you?

Are you showing up?

This industry is filled with shiny objects and squirrels.

We're always trying to chase the next best thing.

We spend so much time consuming, trying to learn about these new shiny objects, that we forget to actually show up and put in the work.

A quote from one of my favorite people, Tony Robbins...

"The path to success is to take massive, determined action."

You can't do that if you don't show up.

So, as we start a new week I challenge you to "show up" at least once each day.

Here're some examples of "showing up"

  • Showing up for a workout
  • Showing up in the kitchen to prepare your meals
  • Showing up to be present in the moment with your family
  • Showing up to bed so you can get the right amount of sleep
  • Showing up to work, rested and energized, so you can be productive

They all seem easy.

They all seem obvious.

But are you actually doing them?

If you're getting results, you're showing up. If you're not getting results, you probably need to show up more often, in all aspects.

The path to results starts with showing up.

1% Better.

Dedicated to Your success,

Doug Spurling
