Nothing Changes...

Yesterday I met with two small focus groups with about a dozen of our clients.

As the year wrapped up I wanted to see what we could do better going into 2017.

I also presented some pretty big changes that we will be making at the gym in 2017.

They were excited and nervous. Exactly what I wanted.

If change doesn't scare you, it's not a big enough change.

You see, I love the saying...

"If you change nothing, nothing will change."

Just like you, I am always looking at ways to make our experience at Spurling 1% better.

If we're not constantly getting better, changing, trying new things, and improving, we're going backward.

There's no standing still. There's only forward or backward.

I've had the pedal to the floor since day one, and we've been shooting forward since then, but it's only because we constantly change, tweak, and improve things.

It's the same for you...

If you're still doing the same routine, the same methods that you did in the 80's, you're not going to improve.

It's that blunt of an answer.

There's just way too many innovations of how to get faster and more sustainable fitness results in 2016.

We realize joining a new gym can be scary.

We realize starting a fitness journey after not having done anything for 20 years can be scary.

But go back to my line above.

If the change doesn't put a little bit of butterfly in your stomach, it's not enough to change.

Change is hard.

Change is scary.

But if you follow our model of 1% better, you always are changing.

Always looking for ways to make your fitness routine more fun, more safe, more varied, more optimal and the end game...

More results and a happier life.

Change is a good thing.

If you always do what you always did, you always get what you always got.

You've spun on that elliptical for 20 years now...

Are you happy with where you're at fitness wise?

Great. Keep doing it.

But if you're not...

You have to be willing to change. You have to be willing to try something new.

And like always...

Think back to all the times you've made changes in your life.

New job...

New gym ;)

Whatever it is...

You were scared at first.

But 9 times out of 10, that change impacted your life more than you could have imagined.

Always remember...

If you change nothing, nothing will change.

1% better, right?

Dedicated to Your Success,

Doug Spurling
