My Number One Health Tip Might Surprise You...

If you were to ask me what's my number one health and fitness tip, you might be surprised by my answer...

It's not a piece of nutritional advice...

It's not "the best" exercise...

There're all these quotes like...

"A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step."

"The secret of getting ahead is getting started."

Although I think we can overuse them sometimes, I do think they serve a purpose.

That being said, my number one tip, to steal a line from Nike...

Just do it.

That's the simple difference between those that achieve and those that dream.

I believe we all have good intentions, but very few of us take actions on those intentions.

It's hard.

I get it.

I really do.

I'm guilty of it myself.

Procrastination is all of our enemies.

However, I always try to remind myself in every aspect of life the line...

Ready, Fire, Aim.

Don't go into something blind (ready), but then dive all in (fire), and fix as you go (aim).

We live in a world where consumption is valued more than action.

Busyness is rewarded.

But what did you actually produce?

What got done?

This is true for career performance, financial performance, and fitness performance.

When it comes to fitness, I promise you, it's not that complicated.

Human physiology is human physiology. It hasn't changed much.

Do something everyday that makes you sweat, and eat less.

If you do those two things I guarantee you'll see results.

But what will happen instead?

We'll read about what exercises are best...

We'll study which foods are "anti-inflammatory"...

We'll wait until all the stars are perfectly aligned, before we do anything.

I'm obviously bias, but the reason why clients are so successful at Spurling is not the fancy exercises, or the quick-tips. It's because they show up every day, they have a coach and a community of members that hold them accountable, and they rinse and repeat.

I'm a firm believer that the reason for any success, in any aspect of life, is action.

Don't let perfection get in the way of good.

Perfect is the enemy of good.

Just do it.

My action item for you today.

Throw the grenade.

Go do something, something that you've been pondering about for awhile, and go take action on it.

1% better, right?

I'll be back tomorrow with an awesome post from Coach Kim.

Dedicated to Your Success,

Doug Spurling
